My name Is Laura and I work in an acute NHS Foundation Trust as a General Manager. Commencing in the NHS in 2004 as an Outpatient Booking Clerk fresh from University, I have gained a varied experience of NHS operational management to date across Medical, Surgical and Corporate Divisions, within three different acute Trusts. During this time, I also completed my MBA in 2016.

At the time of starting this blog, my work life balance was very much out of kilter and I felt I needed a creative outlet to release some of the feelings I was going through at the time. So, after a city break to Rome in 2019 where I was unable to switch off and had given myself very little time to just relax, I put pen to paper and the infinefettle.blog was established. 

Writing is something I have always enjoyed, along with singing – if you have been following my blog, you would have read in one of my posts that rather than present at my MBA residentials, I would sing them instead – true story!

Through this blog, I hope to improve my work-life balance, have a creative outlet away from the regular 9-5 and share what I get up to, in a bid to make the most of my time outside of work.
